Finding Hope and Healing from Problematic Sexual Behavior
Freedom is possible — and it begins with honesty, connection, and a willingness to heal. If you’re struggling with problematic sexual behavior (PSB), you’re not alone. Many have walked this road before you and found lasting freedom through Christ-centered recovery, community, and care.
You don’t have to do this alone. Join a community of others who have found freedom from compulsive sexual behavior through the 12 Steps.
Two trusted, free recovery groups are available both in-person and online:
Sexaholics Anonymous (SA)
Sex Addicts Anonymous (SAA)
These groups offer safe spaces for honest sharing, accountability, and hope — available through meetings, Zoom sessions, and phone calls.
Many people with PSB began coping with pain early in life — often by hiding, numbing, or controlling to survive difficult experiences. These protective parts helped once, but now they keep you from genuine connection and freedom.
Healing those wounded places allows new, healthy ways of relating to others and to yourself. Many therapists are trained to guide this process using evidence-based approaches.
One model we’ve seen bring deep transformation is Internal Family Systems (IFS), which has a strong record of effectiveness in healing trauma and restoring wholeness.
Along your journey, surround yourself with tools that build hope and understanding — podcasts, books, and videos that remind you: you are not your behavior, and change is possible.
